The Concept
If we apply the 80/20 principle, 80% of humans are struggling with common challenges such as food, shelter, getting kids to sleep, and mortality, always striving to fit into a model of a happy life. A happy life is mainly about dealing with one’s wants or needs; in contrast, a meaningful life is linked to doing positive things for others. Happiness is associated with being a taker more than a giver, while meaningfulness is associated with being a giver more than a taker.
A fraction of humans has lived a meaningful life; they have chosen the path of giving. I am telling you, this is not an easy path, but the rewards are long-lasting. If you are reading this, it is not accidental; you have something within YOU that nature wants you to fulfill, and for that reason, you are on this planet. Ultimately, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life, and it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work.
